  Best food ever. Most friendliest knowledgeable staff. Spotless. Relaxing atmosphere. Salty Squid Cafe is definitely the place to go. Its a must visit. Go on down and meet Toni, Ian (chef) and Max.

  Can't go past this place for coffee, food and excellent service. This is one place that is consistently excellent. Staff are always excellent. I have never had an issue with anything. The deserts are brilliant and change frequently so it is exciting to see what they have every time. What ever they do. They do it well. This venue has become a benchmark for me.

  My husband and I went here for lunch today and we were very disappointed. We both had a drink and ordered the bug mornay.. while we were waiting for our lunch we asked the waiter for some bug spray because the sandflies were biting us and they offered us some. We noticed there was only a couple of people dining in. There was a table behind us that ordered from the breakfast menu and we watched them receive their meals which all looked lovely. We noticed that it had been over 30 minutes since we ordered and we were wondering what was going on. We watched three or more lots of people order and receive takeaways and leave. Finally a waiter came and appoligised for the long wait and said that our order would be next. Then the owner Toni offered us a drink. I ordered a coffee and did not find it to be very nice. Long story short it took over an hour for our meal to arrive and by this time we were both over it and wishing we had gone to Goody's across the road. The meal arrived and the bugs were dry and covered in melted cheese still in their shells and the mornay sauce which was at the bottom of the dish was not even a tablespoon full and tasted like flour. I dont understand the dish or the wait time and we certainly will not be returning. We are extremely dissapointed with this cafe as we were expecting great food having read all the online reviews. We went to pay for our meal and they appologised for the wait time and said that they cook to order and dont know what happened to our meal and that it is on them today and hoped we would visit again...I do hope if you choose to eat here you have a more enjoyable experience than we did.
